Tourist Spots In Chennai



There are lot of tourists spots in and around Chennai. Most of these places have historic importance and has unique features of its own. Few of them are :


  • St.George Fort: It was constructed by britishers. Now Tamilnadu Assembly, (Thalaimai Seyalagam)Government Offices, etc., are functioning in this.

  • Marina Beach : It is one of the important tourists in Chennai. Its is located on the shore of Bay of Bengal. Its about 13kms long and it is the second largest beach in the world. Thousands of people visits this place daily and their visit will be memorable for them.

  • Valluvar kottam : It is in Nungambakkam. It is one of the biggest auditorium in Asia. Its an example of Dravidan constructing style. All 1330 Thirukurals of Thiruvalluvar are encarved in stones.
